I love the excitement of plot twists and the thrill of suspense. I deeply appreciate misdirection, observational humour, and the way everyone gasps when the context lands and the punchline hits, just right.⁠

⁠My business is writing Rom-Coms.

Each of my ceremonies are completely unique to the couples they celebrate. Designed to reflect a tangle of two different perspectives; taking couples and their guests on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Belly laughing one minute, in tears the next.

Sometimes that’s exploring quiet romance, sometimes it’s telling tales of outrageous antics. Maybe it's all-consuming love or an easy friendship. Maybe it's inside jokes or unwavering support. Maybe every guest knows every detail or maybe we can surprise them by filling in the blanks.⁠

My goal is for everyone to feel connected; to you and to each other.

The atmosphere is endlessly relaxed. Casual enough that everyone's comfortable to laugh and cry along with the strangers either side of them, exciting enough that they’ll have something to talk about in your absence.

Whatever your story is, I want to share it. With cheek and charm, honesty and sincerity, and so much enthusiasm I could literally burst at the seams.⁠

‘The Big Show’

‘The Big Show’ is a completely personalised ceremony, written from scratch. It speaks your language, reflects your relationship and sums you up as a couple.

My goal is for all your guests to feel as though they’re watching their favourite film - only they know the main characters and your story is also, in a way, theirs too. What matters most to me is that the words are true (although, let’s face it, heavily exaggerated) and that they feel like you.

The ceremony itself will be unlike anything you’ve seen before, because there is no story like yours.

Generally, The Big Show runs for 15-25 minutes and includes: access to my Ceremony Design Guide, tailored vendor recommendations, thoughtful suggestions on how to enhance your wedding day experience, assistance with Vow Writing, preparation and lodgement of all legal documents, BDM issued Marriage Certificate, the use of my Bluetooth PA System - Bose S1 Pro and unlimited Hype Queen Energy.

‘The Little Show’

‘The Little Show’ is the equivalent to a good ol’ fashioned registry wedding. This wedding party includes you and your love, your two witnesses and me to officiate the legal marriage! This’ll be the quickest hitching you'll ever see - a bit of a blur, if i’m honest! Tell you what, blink and you’ll miss it!

* 2-3 minutes, in total.

* No personalisation - legal components only.

* Ceremonies are held in Newcastle - an extra fee will apply for travel.

Loz and Rhys were a literal dream. From the moment we enquired with Hungry Hearts Co we knew they had to be a part of our day. They both made the entire process so, so easy and gave us every bit of information we could possibly need. They are sooooo knowledgeable about this industry and have thought of EVERYTHING for you!

Loz is honestly incredible with her words and all of the ceremony details. She told our story with so much love and so much fun!!! Loz really made our ceremony absolutely perfect.

Rhys’s attention to detail is amazing, we received our sneak peek THE NEXT DAY and every single shot is BREATHTAKING. We cannot wait to see what else he’s created for us. Not to mention how comfortable he made us feel throughout the day - He was so much fun!

  • I’m a Newy local who gets a real kick out of adventuring anywhere between the ocean and rolling green hills, all the way to mountain tops and cliff edges.

    I’m partial to mid-week getaways and weekend wandering, so anything is on the cards!

    Here’s a general guide of travel costs:

    *Free Travel within 100kms of Newcastle.

    NSW Travel - Within 250kms of Newcastle $550

    Interstate Travel - Generally the cost of return flights, 2 nights accomodation and the cost of a hire car, if required

    Overseas Travel - As above

    These prices are a reflection of what I feel is fair and reasonable in terms of travel expenses, forfeiting another wedding on the day before or after yours due to insufficient time to travel between the two and to guarantee my ability to deliver the best service and experience possible. (Cause I want you to have a B L A S T !)

    In other news, if we get along, it doesn't matter where you’re going, or what you’re doing there, I would be THRILLED to tag along.

  • I really hit it off with people who don't take themselves too seriously, love to laugh and make having fun a priority in their lives.

    I like spending time with and telling the stories of couples who are genuinely best mates, happy to share their quirks and easily admit they're a pair of weirdos.

    The couples and crowds who enjoy and appreciate my ceremonies most are those who value a completely personalised experience, a space that feels comfortable and familiar, cheeky banter, dry and observational humour, witty writing, enthusiastic delivery and a good balance of belly laughs and salty tears.

  • I always do my best to compliment colour schemes and dress themes visually - the same way I compliment personalities, verbally.

    Although, you should know - i'm a neutral colour kinda gal.

    My wardrobe consists of some familiar suspects - Aje, Bec and Bridge, Shona Joy, Kookai, DISSH - yadda, yadda.

    I'm usually sporting a Lack of Colour hat and some kind of non-fally-downy-hurty boot/heel. And i'll tell you what - I go bloody BANANAS for a wide leg pant or a puff sleeve

  • I'm a self confessed clinger.

    NO JOKE.

    I create a very real emotional attachment to each of my couples and their day.

    So, I like to arrive an hour before the ceremony (when I can) and hang back for a drink and a nibble and a mingle when the shows over!

    That's right folks, you're stuck with me! (Unless my calendar is full, then i'll smother you post ceremony and scoot.)

  • The Booking Fee you pay upfront is non-refundable. Once you’ve done so, i’m yours, exclusively, for the date you’ve chosen.

    Which means, from this point on, I refer all other couples who enquire with me, on to other marry makers.

    Therefore, the Booking Fee acts as insurance for my business to stay afloat in the event of a cancellation.

    If you choose to postpone, there are options and we can work things out together!

    I’m always here to help and we’ll always be on the same team.

  • Hell yeah! We're lucky to rub shoulders with some of the most talented vendors in Newcastle and I want to help you find them!

    Once you've locked in your date, I’ll share our ‘Legends List’ - a collection of creatives that I’ve worked with personally, can confidently say do a kick ass job of their craft and trust to provide you with the same level of customer service I will.

    If you’d like any other specific recommendations, I’m happy to help however I can.

  • I think tip top relationships come down to two people, accepting and appreciating one another exactly as they are.

    Living unapologetically is such a treat!

    Being our silliest, weirdest, most passionate and idiotic selves means everyday life is full to the brim of fun, laughs and adventure.

    Romance looks different in every relationship, so I think the key is putting in consistent effort to make one another feel GOOD.

    Finally, I think individuals who invest in their own happiness, health and wellbeing always have the most to offer a relationship. You time is just as important as us time - and all that jazz!
