I remember following hungry hearts when my partner and I got engaged a few years ago! Fast forward to the very start of 2024 we were tossing up options if we should elope or have a wedding and up they popped on their stories with one more spot for their Europe elopements! Oh my god it was the most divine timing (one could even call it fate) and the best decision we ever made!

If you’re reading this it probably means you’re tossing up celebrant/ photographer options either for your wedding or if you’re like us your elopement and my advise to you is to stop looking and book them!!!!

Loz and Rhys are so so talented in what they do they’re the perfect duo and made us feel so comfortable on both of our days we spent with them. Loz was constantly hyping us up, checking in with us as the day approached and gave us the confidence to write our vows with her how to vow guide. The words Loz wrote for our ceremony were unbelievable and she told our story in the most perfect and beautiful way that left us both speechless. It felt as if she had known us for years and knew our story personally.

The pure talent of Rhys also left us blown away as he floats around so seamlessly. His laid back nature made our camera anxiety go away instantly! We are yet to receive all of our photos but the sneak peek we got is out of this world! Rhys captured the most perfect moments and the photos are so incredible, we couldn’t believe the attention to detail!

We received the sneak peak Positano photos last night and went through them together and the photos took us both straight back to that day. We are absolutely in love with them all.

You can take our word as we had the pleasure of them not once but twice for our legals only ceremony in Australia plus our vow ceremony in Italy. There are no words to explain how SPECIAL Loz and Rhys made our day. My husband and I eloped, just the two of us in Amalfi. Unbelievably, these two ANGELS were happy to meet us in this place (which none of us had ever been), to capture our special day. We had no idea what we were doing, where we were going, what the day was even supposed to look like!! But having Loz and Rhys there felt like having our best mates along for the ride. Loz is an absolute vibe QUEEN and made our day that much better. She was like the bridesmaid I never had and absolutely nailed it. So helpful, kind and hyped us up massively. We booked the Hungry Hearts team for our elopement in Europe in August, 2023.

MY GOODNESS we could not have booked a better team. They came with a glowing recommendation, then with an Instagram stalk we knew these were OUR PEOPLE.

Loz has done so much more for me than just regular celebrant business, she was there as my hype woman/advice giver/co-ordinator/behind the scenes snapper, but best of all story teller. I have never heard a more beautiful wedding ceremony before! She had me laughing and crying all at once. It felt as though she was the third wheel in our relationship, a fly on the wall in our home - how she described us so picture perfectly in our truest forms still has me mind blown! What an amazing human not only the best in the business at her job, she has the heart of gold to go with it! I could not of imagined my day being as great as it was without her. I have my most cherished memory of all time and I could not of picked a better human to bring it together. I could cry of gratitude when I think of how much Loz brought to our day.

Rhys was our videographer for our Positano elopement and he was SO INSANELY amazing.

Being in front of a camera (other than an iphone) is not something we have ever done before, so I was nervous of how my husband Shannon would go, as he’s a one and done kind of picture guy. It turns out he LOVED the camera and the camera loved him! Our team made the experience so much fun and so natural. The moments Rhys captured are so fun/so us/so perfect! We would give anything to relive our wedding day - but having that memory feels pretty bloody amazing (we've probably watched the video 1074729 times each day since we got it). The Super8 film feels so nostalgic and I can't believe I have that to cherish forever.

Rhys worked SO SEAMLESSLY AND BEAUTIFULLY with our photographer Khara from House of Lucie - they brought such good vibes and EVEN MORE SPECTACULAR WORK.

We had the honour of enjoying these phenomenal humans twice, as my best friend brought them on board for her wedding, where I was MOH. Being in front of the camera with Rhys again felt so natural and fun. It honestly felt as though we were all just hanging out!!! His work captures real moments, and he makes it look and feel all too easy. He captures perfect moments so effortlessly - how he does it, I don't know!!

This is the team YOU NEED for your wedding day, they are incredible humans in every way possible & we know 10000 times over our elopement would not of been as amazing as it was without them. They go above and beyond and we are completely and utterly obsessed with them.

My husband and I eloped in Italy and Loz was literally like my step in bridesmaid. From the first conversation we had with them we knew we had found the perfect team. We initially planned to elope in Italy with Loz and Rhys however decided we couldn’t get married without our closest people there. When we reached out to Loz and Rhys to let them know our plans had changed they were so accomodating and nothing was a problem for them! We were so lucky to still be able to secure them to travel up to Brisbane and marry us.

They both went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we had imagined. All of our guests still thought we were eloping overseas and Loz and Rhys helped us pull off a surprise wedding, working seamlessly with our venue and other vendors to make sure the surprise was perfect.

I still can’t believe how perfectly Loz told our story. It was like she was a fly on the wall in our relationship. She had us and all of our guests laughing and crying throughout the ceremony. We used Loz’s ‘how to vow’ guide and decided to do the switcheroo (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). It was a hit with our guests and perfect if you are not the traditional couple/nervous to say your vows in front of everyone like we were. We had so many guests talk about how good our ceremony and vows were!

Rhys captured some BTS of our day on film and put together a reel for us which had us instantly in tears. Being a surprise wedding it was a day filled with so much emotion and he captured every part of it. We are forever grateful for what he was able to capture and how he put it together. Watching it back makes us feel like we are reliving the day all over again.

We also got the opportunity to meet up again with Rhys and Loz along the Amalfi coast which was so special to us. We spent the afternoon snapping some pics in the ocean and drinking a few too many aperols. The pics that Rhys took were absolutely breath taking, we are obsessed with them and they will forever be a special memory for us.

Loz and Rhys aren’t just wedding vendors. They are your biggest hype people, best mates and just all round incredible humans who go out of their way to make sure your day is absolutely magic. We adore them both and will be telling anyone getting married how much they need these legends a part of their day.

We reached out to Loz and Rhys about 2 months before our planned wedding day, with some pretty vague details - we weren't even entirely sure about the exact date! What we were sure about was that this was who we wanted to marry us. We were so sold on Loz and Rhys' super fun vibe, beautiful images and the unbeatable pairing of celebrant and photographer in the one package.

We didn't want a super long or formal ceremony. Basically, we wanted an elopement style ceremony that would be genuine and meaningful but over in less than 5 minutes - and with around 30 guests in attendance. Some vendors can be really restrictive with their elopement packages and have a no guests or limited guest number policy, but Loz and Rhys gave us exactly what we wanted.

We opted for The Quick Hitch. We did the necessary legals plus some short vows which we wrote with help from Loz & Rhys' very own ‘How to Vow’ guide. The ceremony was perfect - short but sweet. We then spent the rest of the hour with Rhys taking some photos. In that one hour we got all the photos we need and they are STUNNING!!! Huge shout out to Loz for rushing off to do all the necessary legal filings immediately after the ceremony and helping us to get our marriage certificate within a week, too!!!

The quick formalities left us plenty of time to get on with the party afterwards! We had so many people say to us that the ceremony was perfect and that more weddings should be like that.

And Rhys. Rhys has to be one of if not the coolest, calmest and most laid back legends we’ve ever met. His relaxed approach calmed our nerves and brought out the most authentic versions of us. For two people who can’t stand being in front of the camera we felt so at ease laughing, joking and chatting with Rhys like old friends. His eye for detail and creativity captured us in our venue exactly how we envisioned and more and we cannot thank him enough for the memories that we will forever be able to re live through his photographs.
